Alexandra is an expert in Privacy and Data Protection, frequently working on GDPR compliance projects on behalf of clients and undertaking the role of Data Protection Officer for both private and public organisations. By providing tailor-made solutions fit for each client’s individual business needs, Alexandra advises on and undertakes the drafting of various policies and procedures including privacy-related documents and data processing impact assessments. She can provide clients with practical advice on the handling of data breaches and assit with the filing of the requisite notifications to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection. She also frequently carries out awareness training of staff members on behalf of organisations.
She has experience in the area of Whistleblowing, derived from drafting whistleblowing policies for a number of clients and contributing to cross-jurisdictional surveys on whistleblowing provisions.
Alexandra’s professional background includes her being appointed as legal counsel to the Commission for the Protection of Competition, as well as positions in the corporate and commercial departments of major law firms in Cyprus, and acting as an internal legal advisor to international companies.
She holds an LLM in International Business and Commercial Law from the University of Manchester and an LLB from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom.
