Dimitris is an expert on the framework regulating the electricity, hydrocarbons and renewable energy markets in Cyprus, environmental regulation, as well as licensing issues pertaining to energy-related activities. Recent examples of his work include driving forward transactions for the sale and purchase of photovoltaic parks in Cyprus, advice on waste management projects, power purchase agreements and energy performance agreements.
In January 2024 Dimitris was appointed by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cyprus a Member of the Board of Directors of the Natural Gas Public Company (DEFA)/ CyGas. He is the elected President of the Environment and Energy Law Committee of the Cyprus Bar Association, having served as the Secretary of the same Committee during its previous term. He regularly publishes articles in domestic and foreign media in relation to the Cypriot energy market.
Dimitris holds an LLM in Oil and Gas Law from the University of Aberdeen and an LLB from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
